Hello, I’m Sara Thomas, an artist and designer creating unique, handmade artwork and bespoke soft furnishings for homes that deserve something truly personal.
All of my designs begin with my own original artwork, meaning every piece I create is truly unique. My work is inspired by the natural world, where colour, light and texture come together to create endless beauty. I love working with vibrant shades like deep cobalt and Majorelle blue, and innovative designs that bring warmth, creativity and a sense of life into your space.
Each lampshade, cushion and painting is made by hand with care, crafted to reflect your individual style and make your home feel cosy and inviting. Whether you’re looking for a bold statement or a subtle, personalised detail, I believe your surroundings should feel as unique as you are.
Having retired from the NHS in 2019, I decided to follow my lifelong passion for art. I completed an intensive one-year Access to Higher Education course in Art and Design, followed by a Foundation Degree in Art and Design Practice with Distinction through the University of Plymouth.
Although I’m now based in Constantine, Cornwall, I have a deep love for Northumberland, where I was born and brought up. Both counties share dramatic coastlines, rural characters, rich histories and strong local identities, all of which continue to inspire my creativity and artistic expression. I make regular trips back whenever I can, drawing on the light, colours and textures of both landscapes in my work.
